Amazon's Great - But What's Next?

Selling on Amazon is a fantastic business.

But for most sellers (myself included) it is not the endgame.

This week I interviewed Warner Fields (a.k.a. Fields Of Profit) to hear his endgame with Amazon.

We break down his 4 income streams and his exact plans for what's next.

Here's a snippet of the Challenge announcement:

What is the challenge?

It's simple. After 30 days the member with the highest number of new brand direct POs wins.

How will we track progress?

Rebecca (our community manager) will post a weekly leaderboard so you can see exactly where you rank.

Will there be prizes for the winners?

YES! Prizes include Amazon gift cards, TWN swag, and a few surprises 😉

We created this Challenge as a fun way for community members to engage in a 30-day business building sprint.

Whole Foods Leadership Gets A Facelift

Jason Buechel, head of Amazon grocery operations, formed a new leadership team combining talent from Amazon and Whole Foods.

This marks the first major Whole Foods restructuring effort since Amazon acquired the company in 2017.

The goal of the restructuring is to fix inefficiencies by further integrating the two businesses.

My take: This reorg is one for sellers to keep an eye on.

Not because it changes anything immediately, but because it signals that Amazon is getting more serious about their grocery business.

Expect infrastructure investments and more brand control to follow.

Seller Fulfilled Prime Changes (Again)

Seller Fulfilled Prime (SFP) policies are getting a bit stricter come June 29.

Here's a summary of the changes:

  • Sellers have 3 trial attempts per year to earn the Prime badge
  • A minimum of 100 SFP orders per month are required to maintain status
  • Misclassified products are subject to stricter consequences (suspension for repeated offenses)
  • Amazon will offer expanded appeals for late shipments due to network disruption

My take: the stricter SFP requirements make it clear that Amazon is pushing for a more controlled fulfillment experience.

On one hand, the changes will increase delivery reliability and shopper trust in the Prime badge.

On the other, small/mid-sized sellers now face a higher barrier to entry and stricter penalties for missteps.

The changes will reward strong execution while disciplining poor processes.
