Here's what we have in store this week:
• Who wins on Amazon (and who doesn't)
• Easy transition from arbitrage to wholesale
• A questionable tariff workaround
• Is now the time to buy Amazon stock?
Let's jump right in.
Selling On Amazon Isn't For Everyone
When it comes to selling on Amazon, the old saying rings true.
Some people got it, some people don't.
In this episode of The Corey Ganim Show I sit down with guest Danan Coleman to discuss the requirements for success on Amazon in 2025.
There is still tons of opportunity for Amazon sellers.
But only for those who work hard and show up every single day.
This business is not for everyone, and definitely not for the faint of heart.
Danan has been an active seller for over a decade and runs a service that (legally) removes a small percentage of negative product reviews.
It's a great service to white label for those of you doing brand direct wholesale or account management.
From Arbitrage To Wholesale (The Easy Way)
I'll be presenting at next week's Miami Sellers Conference.
My topic:
How to transition from arbitrage to wholesale (the easy way).
And the number one tip I'll be giving in my presentation is this:
Simply reach out to the brands that you're already selling in your arbitrage business and ask to open a wholesale account.
It's incredibly simple.
And if they deny you?
Ask to be referred to one of their authorized distributors in your area.
I'll be giving away at least 5 of my internal resources (for free) during my presentation.
Hope to see you in Miami!
And if you want to shortcut the transition from arbitrage to wholesale by working with me 1:1 then I encourage you to apply for our Wholesale Network community.
The Wrong Way To Approach Tariffs
Trump's tariffs are hurting retailers around the world.
And Amazon sellers have been hit particularly hard, especially those importing from China.
Some unscrupulous Chinese suppliers are encouraging sellers to commit customs fraud by lying about the value of their imported goods.
It goes without saying that this is the wrong way to approach tariffs.
Steven Pope, CEO of My Amazon Guy recently joined our weekly Mastermind call, advising our members to wait it out.
According to Steven, first mover advantages don't exist when establishing manufacturing in other countries while uncertainty is still so high.
He suggests sellers wait it out for at least the next 90 days, slowly raising prices to prolong a stockout.
No one likes the waiting game, and only time will tell the true consequences of the trade war with China.
Amazon Stock: To Buy Or Not To Buy
Executives from major retailers Walmart, Home Depot, Lowe's, and Target met with President Trump last week.
They urged him to reduce tariffs on Chinese goods, emphasizing the strain on consumer prices and profits.
Trump is allegedly considering reducing tariffs to between 50-60%, sparking a rally in the stock market.
Amazon shares jumped 7% from the news.
Is now a good time to buy Amazon stock?
It sure could be.
Lower tariffs particularly benefit Amazon with their heavy reliance on imported Chinese goods.
These effects would trickle down to Amazon sellers and others in Amazon's ecosystem, which could cause the stock to rally even further.
That's all for this week.
See you in Miami next week!
And remember...
You're only one supplier away!
