Brand Direct Masterclass

This week:

• Step by step guide for landing your first profitable supplier

• 7 tips for negotiating with brands

• The Reddit post that went viral (this is crazy)

Let's jump in.

Your First Supplier

Landing your first profitable wholesale supplier is simpler than you think.

I interviewed a guy named Selman who found his first profitable supplier by calling a distributor truck he saw on the side of the road.

There are tons of different ways to find suppliers, and most of them are simple.

If you want to hear Selman's full method, check out the full interview here.

7 Negotiation Tips For Pitching Brands

Last week I had a 90-minute call with a brand owner I've been following up with for almost 5 years.

There are 7 principles I consider any time I'm speaking with a brand.

Especially ones that I've been following up with for a long time:

1) Educate them on their pain points

2) Ask questions to reveal their feelings about their current situation

3) Twist the knife (when discussing pain points)

4) Get micro commitments

5) Active listening

6) Get commitment for the next call BEFORE leaving the current call

7) Quantify whenever possible

I will go deeper into these principles in a YouTube video if enough people reply to this email saying they'd watch it.

Brand Direct Masterclass

Jonah Hodges is one of our coaches inside our Wholesale Network community.

He's hosting a Brand Direct Masterclass for our entire community tonight at 8pm EST.

He's built an 8-figure wholesale business by partnering with brands to help grow their sales as a Value-Added Reseller.

His model is incredibly profitable and incredibly safe since it involves working directly with the manufacturer.

Jonah is dropping an entire Brand Direct Blueprint course, designed to help you master the 3 phases of the Brand Direct Partnership model:

• Prospecting

• Pitching

• Fulfillment

And Wholesale Network members are getting free access to the Brand Direct Blueprint for life.

If you're looking to grow a profitable wholesale business on Amazon and build a network of like-minded entrepreneurs, apply for The Wholesale Network.

It All Makes Sense

The following post made its way around the Internet once Amazon sellers caught wind:

While the poster doesn't explicitly say they worked for Amazon, it's pretty clear that's who they're referring to.

There aren't many platforms where multiple people can do $20-30M per month consistently.

Now I finally understand why seller support has been such a poor experience for the almost 8 years I've been a seller.

There's no incentive to provide good service.

In fact, the incentive is to do the opposite.

The poster took this post down after it went semi-viral.

What are your thoughts? Reply and let me know.

That's it for this week!

Be back next week and remember...

You're only one supplier away!

Hey there, You know that feeling when you're 45 minutes deep in a Claude chat looking for a prompt you wrote three weeks ago? Or scrolling through 15 call transcripts trying to find the one deliverable your employee agreed to last month? That's been my life for the past year. If I had to put a number on it, I probably spend a solid hour every week just searching for information across platforms. Email, call transcripts, AI chats, Google Drive, Slack, Notion, X bookmarks, articles, etc. The...

Hey there, The first AI agent I ever built was a speed-to-lead agent. It was also the first one I ever sold. The client owned a wedding venue rental business. His average deal size was $11,000. He had one salesperson whose entire job was hosting in-person venue tours. And she was crushing it, closing 40% of them. But she was so busy running tours all day that the leads coming in during the morning weren't getting a response until that night. Sometimes the next day. Sometimes Monday (if they...
