Amazon targets who?

Happy New Year!

2025 will be a fantastic year for serious Amazon sellers.

Let's get after it!

On today's agenda:

• How to adapt to Amazon's constant changes

• 2024 Amazon Seller recap (and my 2025 predictions)

• My primary goals

• Amazon's newest target

Amazon Is Changing - Here's How We Adapt

This week I sat down with Danan Coleman, a 10+ year Amazon veteran wholesale seller and agency owner.

Danan's agency helps sellers/brands get 10-15% of their negative product reviews removed without breaking TOS.

We also spend a good deal of the conversation talking about:

• HOW Amazon is changing

• WHAT we should be doing to adapt

2024 Recap + 2025 Predictions

In 2024 lots of sellers quit while others had their best year ever.

But I'm fully convinced that 2025 will be a breakout year for the serious sellers who stay focused.

There is still so much upside and untapped opportunity on the platform.

Both myself and my community are doubling down on wholesale in 2025 and I'm confident it'll be our best year yet.

I share a 2024 recap as well as my 2025 predictions here:

My 2025 Goals

I recently shared a tweet breaking down my primary goals for 2025.

I'm excited to get my mortgage paid off so I can dump the majority of my profits into investments like crypto, real estate, and index funds.

Amazon's Newest Target

The FTC has been breathing down Amazon's neck for issues like:

• Review manipulation

• Inauthentic products

• Monopolistic tendencies

But they recently started targeting a slightly different issue:

Paid influencer reviews.

There's nothing wrong with an influencer being paid to review a product.

As long as the review is honest and unbiased.

The issue comes when influencers are paid to give positive reviews.

And that's what Amazon is cracking down on.

This article lays out Amazon's strategy for responding to a recent FTC ruling requiring them to police this form of review manipulation more closely.

That's it for our first newsletter of 2025.

Now go out and crush your New Year's resolutions and make this the best year yet.

And remember...

You're only one supplier away!

I'm morally against trading my time for money. But I always told myself I'd make an exception if I could charge at least $1,000 an hour. The problem is, pitching someone a $1,000 consulting call is a brutal sell unless you have a crazy amount of credibility. So whenever I get stuck I like to reframe the question by asking "What needs to be true for XYZ?" In this case, "What needs to be true for me to make $1,000 an hour consulting on AI?" The answer became my AI Concierge offer. Two 45-minute...
